Please contact us for an estimated transit time.
Q3: What happens if the cargo is damaged?
For both air and sea freight, coverage is provided through cargo insurance.
If you wish to protect your shipment against potential damage during transportation, we can recommend the most suitable insurance plan.
Q4: How can a shipment be tracked?
For shipments sent via EMS, DHL, or other courier services, please enter your tracking number on the respective carrier’s website.
For sea freight and air freight shipments, we provide tracking support directly.
Q5: What payment methods are available?
Generally, Payment is accepted via bank transfer.
Q6: Can you arrange packaging for large products and heavy cargo?
Yes. Through close coordination with our partner companies, Sendo can also arrange packaging for heavy cargo and large machinery. Please feel free to contact us for advice.
Q7: Can I request delivery only?
Yes. If your shipment doesn’t require packaging, we can arrange delivery on its own. Please note that if any details about the contents are unclear, we may open the shipment to confirm and inspect the contents.
Q8: What information is needed to request a quote?
To prepare a quote, we’ll need at minimum the product name, model number, dimensions (W × D × H), unit weight (kg), quantity, and any catalog/spec sheets (specifications, performance, overview). We’ll also need the destination/origin country and preferred shipping method (sea or air).
Depending on the cargo and the country involved, we may ask for additional details.
Q9: How long does it take to receive a quote?
Depending on the shipment, export and import arrangements may include customs clearance. Because we need to coordinate with the relevant parties, preparing a quote typically takes a few business days.
Q10: Can you arrange certificates such as a Certificate of Origin?
Certificates such as Certificates of Origin and other documents required under applicable laws vary in content and requirements depending on each country’s systems and regulations, as well as your specific circumstances. For this reason, as a general rule, we ask customers to arrange these documents themselves.
In some cases we may be able to advise depending on the details, but this would be discussed separately.
Q11: Should I choose sea freight or air freight?
In general, air freight is used for smaller, lighter shipments or when you need a faster delivery. Sea freight is better suited for large-volume or oversized shipments, but transit times are longer.
Sendo will recommend the most suitable shipping method based on your shipment volume, delivery timeline, and other requirements.
Q12: Whatʼs the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (Full Container Load) is a shipping method where one shipper reserves an entire container for their cargo.
LCL (Less than Container Load) is a shipping method where cargo from multiple shippers is consolidated and loaded together into one container.
Q13: What items cannot be shipped?
Items that are prohibited from export or import under applicable laws and regulations cannot be handled. For details, please contact us.
Q14: What languages do you support?
We support both English and Japanese.
Q15: Can multiple items be shipped together?
Yes. If the items can be packed together safely, they can be consolidated into a single shipment. However, depending on the shape or handling requirements, some items may not be able to be packed together.
Q16: Do you handle small-quantity or small-lot shipments?
Yes. We can also support the import and export of small shipments. By using LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidation, you can share a container with other customers and keep costs down.
We can also arrange EMS (international mail) and international courier services such as DHL .
Sendo will recommend the most suitable shipping method for your cargo.
Q17: This is my first time importing/exporting - can I still contact you?
Absolutely. Please feel free to reach out. Even if youʼre not sure where to start, weʼll listen to your needs and support you from the ground up with end-to-end logistics assistance.
Q18: How do I request a quote or consultation?
